  Wrong recomendation (08 July 2006)
As I was buying a complete new camera, Sony Cyber-shot WSC50, I followed the recomendations for accessories and Memory Stick. The Memory Stick should have been 512MB Memory Stick DUO or DUO Pro and not the 512MB Memory Stick Pro

  Sony 512K memory stick pro - a good match for the Cybershot (04 January 2006)
I was delighted to find that my wife had bought me a Sony Cybershot DSC-200 for Christmas. The 32Mb memory card that came with the camera is totally inadequate for the high resolution images it produces, of course, good for only 10-20 shots at 7 megapixels. I considered the 1Gb card (maybe when the price comes down!) but it seemed the 512Mb card offered a good balance between capacity and price. You can shoot around 140 still photographs (fine, or low compression) and 280 at standard (high compression at 7 megapixels, or 22 minutes of video. The images download quickly enough, though this doesn't really concern me - the main issue is the capacity of the card, and this is excellent. The 512Mb card is a very good match for the Cybershot.

  You cant go wrong with this!!! (29 September 2005)
I have a Sony P-200,I bought the high speed 512MB (the pink/white one).I cant realy see a speed difference with the previous version but its trasnfer rates are quite fast(i havent realy tested with MB & Time).If you are a photographic lover..well,this is what you need
* works like a charm
* about 22 mins of video footage
* over 70(or close)pictures of very high resolution pictures(7 Mega pixel)
and finally because its probably the best storage for Sony Digi Cams out there. Buy it! its Great!

  Great Value and top performance! (03 September 2005)
After buying my new SONY digital camera, I needed a memory stick. I went into town and paid £45 for a 256MB memory card only to look on here and see that the 512MB card is cheaper. Major Bummer!! Also, I cannot doubt the performance - compared to others I have tried, TOP performance, TOP speed, TOP QUALITY!

  High capacity but speed increase is barely noticeable (30 July 2005)
Like many people who've had Sony digitial cameras for 3 or 4 years, I've recently upgraded my original memory sticks to the newer "Pro" stick.

Aside from the huge capacity of this single 512 Mb stick (which is good for around 200 5-megapixel shots), the increase in read/write speed you would expect with "Pro" isn't really apparent. In fact, a quick test between an original memory stick and this Pro stick revealed the write speeds are actually about the same.

Still, it's a sensible purchase for getting a whole family holiday of snaps onto one stick. And as newer cameras begin to offer greater resolutions (7-megapixel and beyond), this stick should hold its own for a few years yet.
