| | Customer Reviews: Not as good as it could easily have been (24 May 2010)Good sound with full size proper headphones - not with those provided. Good battery life. Quite shock proof. However Sony could have made some simple design improvements. The settings (except the radio presets) are lost when the batteries go flat. So every time you change batteries you have to go through the awkward menu system to turn off the annoying beeps and reconfigure your own sound preferences. It also forgets where it reached on the CD when the batteries fail. Slight exterior motor whine on one of the two I have. Both quite noisy when seeking tracks. (15 February 2010)The Sony D-NF340 MP3 Personal CD Player does exactly what it says it will do. I can stop my book anywhere, turn off the player and when I switch it on again, it starts again where it stopped. No searching back and forth to find my place. I use it at home, in the car and walking and there is no jumping or stopping. I can even take the CD out, play a music CD, then put the Audiobook back in and it still starts again at the right place. Its simple to use, good corporate manufacturer, well built and robust. Plays both Cd and MP3. Radio quality is dependent on signal strength. A satisfied customer. No disappointment. It's all good. (06 December 2009)This player does everything it says in a nice, attractive package. Love the black, shiny, futuristic design. The only down side is the headphones included are of average quality, but that's what I would have expected anyway with any CD player purchase. I bought it mainly to play MP3's from disc and that feature works fine too. |
