| ![]() | Customer Reviews:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Great sound, awful design (21 November 2008)These headphones sound great and are fine for sport but, and it's a big BUT, if you want to wear them lying down, sitting in a high backed chair (on a bus, train, plane, sofa etc) forget it! The band around the back of your head is pushed forward and dislodges the earpieces from their proper position. This is uncomfortable and destroys the sound. If this is not bad enough the insulation covering the wires started to come off after a couple of weeks of normal use. After one year nearly half the insulation has gone and the wire tangles and looks a total mess. These headphones have been on the market a long time yet nothing seems to have been done about this problem. I will never buy Sennheiser again. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Really impressed! (18 November 2008)I bought these because my normal ear buds kept falling out as soon as i started to sweat, and i am so glad i did! These headphones, stay in place no matter how much you jump about, give great bass response and dont leak as much noise as you'd think. The cord clip holds the cable in place so it doesnt tug as you're running, and there is plenty of cbale to reach to your trouser pockets. The only criticism i have is that you cant wear a top with a collar on it otherwise it pushes the band up and can make them uncomfortable, and also the noise that it makes when rubbing againt the collar travels through to the earphones and gets quite lound and annoying. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Not so good with lots of external noise (17 November 2008)I bought these headphones because using my £70 Shure EC2's at the gym was wrecking the foams and wax guards due to sweat. At just over £20 to renew the foams and wax guards it was becomming stupidly expensive! These Sennheisers appealed very much because of the other great reviews. People have said they are great for excersize and the gym because they don't fall out. Correct! They do not fall out and I doubt ever will. However, the sound quality doesn't blow you, err me away (I blame you, Shure!). Because they are not noise cancelling, if you are in a noisy environment, such as a gym with house speakers, excersize machines, or beefcakes grunting and banging stacks of weights you will need to have your MP3 player turned up pretty loud, which is not good for your ears. In fact, I have had to swap to my large Archos AV500 PMP to get some real volume and adjustable EQ. Also, if your MP3 player doesn't kick the bass out you'll not get much bass. I suppose being used to pro headphones (the Shures) I'm bound to be critical so don't be put off by these Sennies. If you have a good MP3 player with a customizable EQ, strong volume, and you're not in a very noisy place you'll enjoy these Sennheisers. You get what you pay for so I suppose these are pretty good value for money. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() They stay on but don't fit in the ear very well (02 November 2008)I bought these on the recommendations of previous reviews. The headphones stay on very well when running but fit awkwardly in the ear, which often affects the quality of the sound. If I'd tried them on beforehand, I wouldn't have bought them. Everyone's ears are different, so my advice is try these on before you buy. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Excellent (01 November 2008)Really pleased with these. First time I have used a neckband design and am very pleased with the result. Extremely stable in the ear and are comfortable to wear. |
