Annoying flashing light (08 March 2010)
This is compact and, for me fast, memory stick. But it has a VERY ANNOYING flashing light that I find just too distracting. I cannot use it while working, I am afraid. I am Mr Grumpy!

Just gives you storage (08 March 2010)

I am using memory sticks for a long time and never had any problem but this really tests your patience. Sometime I get writing speed up to 2.0 MB per second and max reading up to 11 MB. This is a good piece of hardware if you just want to use for storage. 16 GB and such writing speed challenges my patience every time I play with this. I wish I read the reviews before Buying: My Fault.

The Sandisk 16Gb Cruzer USB was bought to transfer data from an old HDD to a new pc. The drive is much more than that and has built in 'Smartdrive' facilities which other people might wish to use. I didn't need to.
Otherwise this tiny drive replaces HDDs that years ago we would not have dreamed of.
Now that it has serv4ed its original purpose it is used as a backup for those programs I would hate to lose.
An excellent product at a very competitive price.

I got the Sandisk 16GB Cruzer USB stick for a smashing price of 18 pounds, thats nearly 1 pound per gig!

Works well, does the job. New feature is your able to set it to be used just as a flash drive, no U3 to muck around with

Perfectly serciceable product, the bet feature on which is the retractable hub whick negates the need for a seoerate cap, which almost always gets lost.
