(04 June 2010)As someone who still drives a car with a cassette unit in it, this was a god send, although i never knew such clever pieces of kit existed. This is well priced and very easy to use, put the cassette into your slot, plug your .mp3 player in and away you go. The retractable cable is a great idea. However - and this is why it only gets 4 stars from me - is that the cable sticks, it doesn't always fully retract and a little bit of fiddling is needed to make it so. The cable could be a bit more substantial too. Having said that, it's a great piece of kit. Simple to use, and excellant value. Astoundingly....excellent!!! (15 April 2010)I was very dubious about this product...my husband had one similar and it had a dreadful sound quality, just like that of old cassettes!!! I was expecting this to aswell! But it really is great. With the engine turned off I could hear the tape deck whirring slightly, but I suppose when I'm driving, that sound will be totally drowned out, and what you are left with is a sound exactly like that of my CD player! Easy control of volume with the car's own volume button. I had looked at various ways of using my ipod in the car, and I almost overlooked this type of product, thinking 'you get what you pay for' and that it would be cheap tat, but it just shows you! Excellent value and totally fit for purpose!!!!! Great product! Perfect! (14 April 2010)Perfect! I was brought an FM transmitter so I could play my music from my iphone in my car for christmas. I've only just started using it though. 1 Week was long enough, there was always fuzz from the radio no matter what you tried. I decided to purchase this instead and it works like a dream. Almost as good as having CD's on apart from you can play so many more and don't have to keep changing them! If your in any doubt at all, just do it, it's excellent! recommended (12 April 2010)Works great in my vw 03 Polo. Intending on gettin a proper headunit installed but this is working perfectly fine for now. Sound quality from my ipod to the car is great, no complaints. Retractable lead is ideal too as it prevents messy wires and doesn't get tangled up so is easy to store away. Previously owned a non retractable casette adaptor from halfords (costing £10 I think!) and the wire was so annoying and got easily damaged, producing poor sound quality. This one is much cheaper so would definitely recommend.Great value for money Well pleased with this! (10 April 2010)I bought two of these. One for me, one for my wife. We use them in our cars to listen to MP3 players through the car audio casette - its so much better than listening through earphones. They work perfectly and would be good value at twice the price. The cable retraction works really well. It keeps it neat and tidy when not in use- you know how loose cables always tie themselves in knots somehow, well kiss goodbye to that problem. I had thought the cable retraction might be problematic before I bought it, possibly prone to jamming up etc, but this is not the case. The mechanism simpy rolls it up neatly every time. Sound quality is good through my car stereo; no hiss, crackle, etc. I have no hesitation in recommending this product. |
