| ![]() | Customer Reviews:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hama LM-09 Mic (26 April 2010)I urgently needed an inexpensive small mic for my college work. Other reviews spoke of the clip being flimsy? So far I have found the clip quite serviceable for normal use. As a simple throat mic it works well, I have a new HD Canon camcorder and the connecting plug fits correctly and seems compatible. No complaints, sound is good. I consider this a great product. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Excellent value for money (15 April 2010)I tested this with the Eos 550d. I'm really satisfied about this lavalier mic. It comes with a coin size battery and six metres of cable. It also has an on-off switch to save battery life. You may also consider Sony's stereo lavalier microphones, but these come without the long cable. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Excellent (06 April 2010)Unlike the other reviewer, I didn't find the clip to be brittle at all. Sound quality is excellent, making this the ideal way to record a soundtrack for video instead of using the built-in microphone. By the way, there's an absolutely hilarious picture on the box - had I seen this box in a shop I wouldn't have bought the product thinking it ludicrously out of date (it depicts a man in a tweed jacket being videoed by a woman with bouffant hair and a massive, early 1990s, camcorder). The fact is, however, that it works a treat. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() An ok microphone for the price. (21 November 2009)This microphone is pretty good for the price you pay for it. As stated in a few previous reviews the build quility isn't brilliant (I'd go as far to say they use denser plastics in the pacaging than the mic its self) but it's not totally rubish. - The clip is quite brittle and sensitive but it hasn't broken for me yet. The mic can sometimes pop out of the clip. - The on and off switch has been pretty good for me, no issues with it thus far. - Wind cover does also pop off from time to time but a very small amount of super glue will do the trick. So for general recording purposes like V-logging or Skype (and other VOIP software) this mic is pretty good. Just don't forget to unclip it and walk out the room! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Small microphone, cumbersome on-off switch (10 March 2008)For some reason this microphone comes with an enormous black box halfway up the cable that is 20 times the size of the microphone and very heavy. The box houses an on-off switch that is tiny by comparison, so why the box needs to be so big is beyond me. The box also accepts the battery (yes, this microphone requires a small battery - 1 supplied, but when it runs out you know you'll throw the thing away). I bought it to be a tiny portable microphone for VOIP calls when I'm abroad - but the big clunky box and battery mean I'm still looking for a decent mini microphone. |
