(13 October 2008)As a black woman its often dificult to find products made for our hair type we usually have to go with the "general" products which don't really do us any justice. After purchasing almost 50 different straigteners just so that I could get good results and have decent looking hair I step out again and I bought this product thinking "there I go again purchasing a product that will give me mediocure service" however I am pleased to say that I shall never purchase another type of straigthener again. I wash my hair (and sisters you know how that goes sometimes) moisturize,blow dry and then sit with my miracle worker straightening peice by peice and when I am done its like I just stepped out of a saloon. lite, bouncy and straight I mean it does the job! no joke here!. even after going out in the humidity or damp weather the hair is still working it! I am singing the praises of GHD everywhere I go. its a bit pricy but its worth it!!! I would not waste my time to put this review here if it wasn't trust me its GOOD!!. Works wonders (22 September 2008)Ahh.. after reading all these comments, i now realise that its a common fault of GHDs to randomly cut out. I have recently been having problems with my GHDs recently which i have owned for over 4 years now. The power seems to cut out whenever it feels like it and its a real pain. I got so annoyed one day that i started wacking it off my bed and thought it had gone for good. But to my suprise, its still working (when it feels like it). I have to admit, despite it giving up on me, it has brought me countless days of poker straight and smooth hair. I love the curls and waves they create. Who needs curling tongs when you have a GHD? I wouldn't want to try other brands which cost more or less the same price, when i know GHDs are the ones for me and are known to be the best straightners in the market. I have made up my mind and i think its time to move on from my 'knackered' original GHDs and purchase the newest version! =) I cannot wait! Brilliant! (25 August 2008)I Have had my GHD stylers for a year now and love them. If I leave my hair to dry it has kinks and goes nuts, now I can stye with these in 5 minutes and never have a bad hair day again:} Saves lots of time well worth the money. Love them, only break if you do not look after them (17 August 2008)I love my GHDs. I have had two. The first pair lasted a year as i used to wrap the wire around them and bang them about. The second pair I still have, after three years. I have looked after these ones and still no problems. I have perfect hair all the time, unless it rains. The Good Hair Day You Were Waiting For... (21 July 2008)The GHD Hair Straightner I have owned about 5 pairs of GHDS and overall as a product they are amazing and really do straighten your hair to perfection. I enjoy using them and find them easy to use and i find them easy to use on others being a hairdresser. But.. i have had a few pairs blow up and start flashing so thats what worries me about GHDS. Im always thinking whens it going to happen? Like a time bomb lol! I would definatly recommend them though they will 100% give you straight hair, But you will definatly get addicted lol! There are a few straightners i have found that work the same as GHDS the hairtools are just as good,but theres something special about owning a pair of GHDS. |
