(23 July 2010)I bought this device to record programs from Sky so that I could play them to my young son on Nextbase SDV47 7" Portable DVD Player - Black whilst in the car. The video capture software that comes with the device is not the slickest, but works fine. The only caveat is that a minimum resolution of 1024x800 is needed to run it, which was too high for most (including mine) netbooks, to get round this, I plugged a monitor into my netbook, set the res to 1024x800 and started the software, then unplugged the monitor. The quality of the recordings is superb and I am very happy with this product. For the price, I am very happy! Easy solution for copying video to PC and/or DVD (21 July 2010)Very easy to use and I have now copied all of my videos to PC (external hard drive) and DVD. I had to buy a scart adaptor for the video player but apart from that a very cheap and efficient method. Easycap (12 July 2010)I am very pleased with this product. I have an apple Macbook pro laptop (2008 with Snow Leopard). The software that came with the Easycap was not suitable as it was for PC Xp and vista but I downloaded a free application which is called Easycap Viewer. This copied video from source - RCA Video and sound from an RCA Red white to double jack for input into the Macbook. The picture and sound were brilliant - DVD quality. This is a briliant video capture card, so easy to use and with no flaws. A movie file was created on the desktop. This was then imported easily into iMovie 9 where it could be easily edited and then burned onto DVD with iDVD with NO loss of quality. I would definitely recommend this product. Not EasyCap (09 July 2010)I have still not managed to get this thing to work. I have wasted hours of my time trying to get it to work on a number of different computers but to no avail. I really wish I had not bothered. Sound problem (28 June 2010)I have installed the hardware and the Ulead VideoStudio fallowing the manual. The problem with sound appeared as I tried to record from my video recorder. There was no sound !!! Only when I replayed the captured footage the sound was heard, I sent email to the helpline contact from the EasyCAP website but no reply from them till now.
